Resolution Internet Privacy Policy Resolution Internet's Commitment to Privacy Resolution Internet's Privacy Policy was developed with the same strict guidelines of integrity and quality that underscore our overall business practices as we deal with customers and other third parties. We aim to apply the same strict guidelines to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy is designed to assist you in understanding how we collect, use and safeguard the information you provide to us and to assist you in making informed decisions when using our site and our products and services. The following policies are only in effect for the web pages, newsletters and opt-in mailing lists owned and operated by Resolution Internet. Information We Collect When you visit our web site you may provide us with three (3) types of information: 1) personal information you choose to disclose in registering for and using the services, 2) case, claim or other client-related or enterprise-related information you choose to disclose in the course of using the Resolution Internet products and services, and 3) web site use information collected on an aggregate basis as you and others browse our web site. 1. Personal Information We request personal information when you register on the Resolution Internet web site or when you contact us for information on products and services. Registering at our site enables you to access the products and services on the Resolution Internet web site, and it gives us a means to notify you of product enhancements and special offerings. Our site registration form requests the following information: name, title, address, phone number, email address, password, and credit card information. Where relevant, this information will be asked for both you and the law firm, consulting firm or other business enterprise for which you work. 2. Client-related and Enterprise-related Information You will provide us with certain information related to the client or business enterprise for which you are using the services and products on our web site. The information that you will provide in this context depends on the specific Resolution Internet service or product that you are using. Such client-related or enterprise-related information will not be disclosed except as is disclosed by Resolution Internet to you in order to provide the services (for example, participants in a mock jury). Client-related or enterprise-related information will not be provided to Resolution Internet's affiliated consulting firm Resolution Economics unless and only to the extent that you expressly direct. As further detailed in the User Agreement (Terms & Conditions of Use), your use of the Resolution Internet services and products will not give you any basis for attempting to disqualify Resolution Economics from providing consulting services to any party. 3. Web Site Use Information The Resolution Internet web site utilizes web server logs to collect information based on IP addresses to understand how our web site is used. Information gathered through web server logs may include the date, time and number of visits, the pages viewed, time spent at our web site, and the web sites visited just before and just after our web site. IP addresses do not render personal information. Cookies (not supported by Resolution Internet) Cookies are a feature of Web browser software that allows Web servers to recognize the computer used to access a Web site. Cookies are small pieces of data that are stored by a user's Web browser on the user's hard drive. Cookies can "remember" what information a user accesses on one Web page and use it to simplify subsequent interactions with that Web site by the same user or to use the information to streamline the user's transactions on related Web pages. Resolution Internet does not use cookies. Web Beacons (not supported by Resolution Internet) Web pages may contain electronic images (called a "single-pixel GIF" or "web beacon") that allow a web site to count users who have visited that page or to access certain cookies. Resolution Internet does not use web beacons. How We Use The Collected Information Broadly speaking, we use personal information for purposes of administering our business activities, conducting customer service and making available products and services to our customers and prospective customers. Occasionally, we may also use the information we collect to notify you about important changes to our web site, new services and special offers we think you will find valuable. Keep in mind that when we request information from you for payment processing we encrypt it before transmission and store it in secure servers. Resolution Internet may send personally identifiable information about you to other companies or people when:
We may provide aggregate information about our customers, sales, Web site traffic patterns and related Web site information to our affiliates or reputable third parties, but this information will not include personally identifiable data or specific client-related or enterprise-related information, except as otherwise provided in this Privacy Policy. E-Mail Policy We maintain a strict "No-Spam" policy that means that we will not sell or rent your personally identifiable information to anyone, without your consent. In addition, Resolution Internet will not send you email that you have not agreed to receive. We may from time to time send e-mail announcing new or enhanced Resolution Internet products and services. You may notify us at any time if you do not wish to receive these offers by contacting us. How We Ensure Data Security Resolution Internet employs firewalls, encryption software, and other security software to prevent unauthorized access to our systems and data. In certain areas Resolution Internet uses industry-standard SSL-encryption to protect data transmissions. Physical access to our servers is restricted. Unauthorized access to server hard drives where data is stored is prevented. In addition, in certain areas Resolution Internet account information is password-protected for your privacy and security.
